The head of the Élysée: ‘France does not provide them.’

The French president Emmanuel Macron has expressed support for halting arms supplies to Israel that are being used in the Gaza conflict.
‘I believe that today the priority is to return to a political solution, to stop delivering weapons to conduct the fighting in Gaza,’ the president said on France Inter radio, adding that ‘France does not provide them.’”
On Friday, October 4, the Atlas of Wars wrote: “(…) Meloni, on the morning of Wednesday, tries to play the diplomacy card: as the rotating president of the G7, she initiates a call with her counterparts from the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and France. Where President Emmanuel Macron, seeking to manage the Lebanon issue independently for historical reasons, does not take the call and passes it to his Foreign Minister, Stéphane Séjourné. (…)”
