The war in Ukraine has raised concerns about the possible use of nuclear weapons by Russia and a possible subsequent US response. With these infographics – curated by Valentina Ochner – we try to give an overview of Russian nuclear armaments, their number, type and the alleged presence of intercontinental ballistic missile bases on Russian territory. In the following interactive map you can locate the various bases, and get additional information about the types and quantity of armaments present as well as their power by sliding your mouse or clicking on the areas.
